It’s the creating above just the lyrics and melodies that drove me to take the course. Since then the school had morphed into Nimbus School of Recording & Media in Vancouver with Garth Richardson and Bob Ezrin. I researched the schools, teachers, class sizes, what was taught and ultimately decided to go with Kevin Williams from Hot Sole Music. When I was looking to get into the field of music after high school I explored many options but was drawn to the mechanics on how songs and albums where crafted in the studio. Tell me more about that process and what the experience was like working with Hot Sole Music. You have a certificate in Audio Engineering from Hot Sole Music. It’s got rockin’ guitar solos, combined with dance beats and catchy melodies that will leave you revved up and ready to take on anything. “Party Heroes” is a fun, energetic, get-up-and-dance type single. Tell me about your new single “Party Heroes.” From there my sound evolved and more dance and pop was incorporated. You can see some of those influences in my first alarm Destination Unknown. A lot of the bands were influenced by Nickelback, Mariana’s Trench, Hedley, Faber Drive, etc. When I was playing the clubs and pubs in Vancouver it was predominantly a rock-pop/rock scene. It is my pleasure to introduce you Kristen Karma. It was a treat sitting down with her to learn more about her career. She has a lot of fun on stage, has a great voice and has a bright future ahead of her. She has a new single out titled “Party Heroes” and has a certificate in Audio Engineering. This time he brings me Kristen Karma, a Canadian electro dance pop artist that has connections to Lady Gaga, has shared the stage with names like Akon and DJ Lady Starlight. She is survived by her loving husband, Craig Ockerlund, children, Todd Rose, Courtney Rose, Kristin Ockerlund, and Julie (Austin) Mohs, grandson, Paxton Mohs, brother, George (Lynda) Masters, nephews, Adam (Amanda) Masters and Gregory (Carolyn) Masters, and niece, Stephanie Masters.Michael Stover has done it again. She is now with her child, Trevor Rose and parents, George and Elaine Masters in Heaven. She took comfort in her OLPH Guild and Catholic faith. She was a dedicated and one of a kind friend. She loved antiquing, golfing, playing tennis, drinking tea, cooking, dogs and horses, botanic gardens, history, and reading. For one of those Galas, she teamed up with a well known Bears player and mental illness advocate to be a keynote speaker and it was a massive success. She coordinated many phenomenal events including a 5K walk and Gala every year. She put in the hard groundwork of raising awareness of mental illness while also providing support and resources for those affected by it. Sue then dedicated the remainder of her life to being an outstanding and lucrative Development Director of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Cook County North Suburbs.

She went back to work full time as a Development Manager for United Way and Executive Director of the Glenbrook High School Foundation. Her volunteer experience included: Juvenile Protection Association, GBS Booster Board, Women’s Board for Catholic Charities, President of Arden Shore Home for Children, President of School District 31 PTC, President of Misericordia, and Board of Directors/Committee and Event Chair for Northshore University Healthcare System. She started a gift basket business with two close friends called “Breakfast in Bed” which they ran together for 17 years. She then took time off to raise her children, but she didn’t stop there. After graduating, Sue jumped right into the workforce and became a Buyer for Marshall Field’s in downtown Chicago. She continued on to college majoring in Business at the University of Illinois where she became a proud member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and formed lifelong lasting friendships. After being dubbed Miss Skokie, she went on to win the Miss North Side Competition of 1970. Sue’s many accomplishments began when she was just 17 years old attending Niles North High School. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend to so many. She was known for her spirited personality and go-getter mentality. “Sue” was an incredible woman with a deep love for her five children and a passion for giving back. Susan Masters Rose Ockerlund, 67, of Glenview, IL, passed away on Good Friday, April 10th.
